What do you think?

Education is very important to each of us. Where do you prefer to go? At the Private Schools or Public Schools?

Got Something to say?

3 Private Schools

I believe the human conduct is based on multiple factors, not only one. The parental education, private or public schools, as well the realtionship with the environment, friends and more recently the influence of the TV and Internet, makes the individual approaches to one behaviour and point of view more than other. Particularly in my country (Venezuela) the public school, with very very few exceptions, are providing bad levels of educations, making children and/or teen to leave education system, and graduating people with low education level that will not allow them to get to professional career. Therefore, besides my previous consideration regarding people behaviour and success is made of many multiple factors, in my country in specific I think the private education is better than public schools.

Freddy, you make a very good point. In my initial answer, I was thinking only of public schools in the U.S. and U.K,, and their private counter parts. But clearly, there is a significant difference in other countries. In places like your own country, I suppose the private schools are the only way to go for those fortunate enough to be able to afford them.

Still, I reiterate my point, that the behaviour of the parents, their enthusiasm or lack of it, greatly effects the way a child grows up. In this country, there are countless examples of children of wealthy families growing up to be totally disfunctional LOSERS. The children more often than not had every advantage that money could buy for them, including the best private schools, but they lacked any real enthusiastic motivation from their parents.

3 It Depends

Richard Branson, the guy who started up with “Virgin Records” and ended up being a super-rich guy, said in an interview that NONE of the British entrepeneurs who became millionheirs since the 1980’s were the product of the famous, much vaunted, exclusive and expensive Brittish schools where the upper class (who can afford them) typically send their children. The entrepeneurs who make their OWN fortunes, and do not inheiret their fortunes, those people were the product of the government run schools where most people send their children.

Now, in fairness, you will find a LOT of underachievers who are the product of public schools, a lot who are the product of private schools, there is no proven paradigm for a “millionheir-maker” education process. I personally feel that the undervalued influence in the formula for making a successful person is the PARENTS. Parents, (BOTH A MOTHER AND A FATHER) are the critical factor, and parents who CARE, and are not lazy, will influence their children to learn and grow up properly.

If you are a person who is sooooooo sooooooo busy, and you just don’t have time for you children when they are young, I don’t care what sort of nanny, governess, private school, professional tutors, or whatever you try, there is NO substitute for the TIME and sincere motivation and instruction that the MOTHER AND THE FATHER can give.

So, if you can afford some upscale school for you children, good for you and I hope you and your children are happy, but the private school alone will NOT make your child grow up to be a successful and responsible adult. If you cannot afford a private school, your child is not for certain going to go to prison as an adult. The thing that will clearly over-ride any influence from their schools is the influence of the parents.

WHACK!!! That’s the sound of Decon Blues hitting the nail on the head. I just hope any parent who reads the above takes serious note. Amen.
